Alberta Crude Oatmeal Stout

This dark, jet-black oily-smooth stout (hence the name) from Wild Rose is very rich and smooth with a coffee/caramel/cocoa aroma and taste. It has a lightly carbonated mouth feel to it compared to something like Guinness; which I feel makes it a bit more widely drinkable for the masses. Wild Rose’s cans are always fun with different animal-headed characters for their different beers, so I felt it fitting to take this one out on a kayak in Banff like Monty the moose on the can! Glad they decided to finally can this; will definitely be buying again!
